Boy in This Pic Was Thrown in River by Mom, Yet at 53 Is a Hollywood Icon & Was Named ‘Sexiest Man Alive’ Once

Matthew McConaughey, now a Hollywood icon, shared his difficult childhood on Facebook’s “Red Table Talk” in 2020.

Despite being beaten and thrown into the Llano River by his parents, he holds no grudges and even moved his mother in with his family.

His memoir “Greenlights” details his “violent” upbringing, which he says was filled with love, though it appeared abusive.

McConaughey, now married to Camila Alves with three children, embraces his past and maintains a close relationship with his mother, who lives with them.
